How to find the right cartridge
The quickest match is the part number printed on the end cap or label of your old cartridge (for example Pleatco PRB50-IN or Hayward CX500RE), or the model number on your filter tank. If the label is worn off, measure the cartridge length, outside diameter and the size of the top and bottom openings, then compare them with the dimensions in the product details.
Single cartridges and multi-packs
Most of this collection is replacement cartridges. Some are sold singly and some in 4-packs, such as Pleatco PA106 and Pentair Clean and Clear Plus 320, for filters that hold several elements; replace all of them at the same time.
Cleaning and replacing
Hose a cartridge off, with the pump turned off, when the filter pressure rises about 8 to 10 psi above its clean reading. Replace it when it no longer cleans up, or when the pleats are torn or flattened or the end caps are cracked.
