Air Vent Covers
Wall, ceiling and return air vent covers from Imperial, Primex, Dundas Jafine and Price: sidewall grilles, return air baseboard and flush-mount grilles, projection grilles, ceiling diffusers and round adjustable vents. Sizes run from 4" round to 30" x 8". Measure the duct opening in the wall or ceiling to choose a size.

Choosing a wall, ceiling or return air vent cover ▾
Supply or return?
Supply vents blow conditioned air into the room. Sidewall grilles, projection grilles, ceiling diffusers and round adjustable vents (such as the Primex Adjust-A-Vent) are used on supply ducts. Return air grilles pull air back to the furnace or air handler and are usually larger, with fixed louvres. Imperial return air baseboard grilles and Primex flush-mount return grilles are common choices.
How to measure
Grille sizes refer to the duct opening in the wall or ceiling, not the outside of the faceplate. Measure the opening width first, then height. For example, a 24" x 6" grille fits a 24" x 6" opening. Round diffusers are sized by duct diameter (4", 5" or 6").
Grilles with filters
Imperial makes a sidewall grille with a built-in filter rack, and we carry its replacement filter in 10" x 6". These suit rooms where you want extra filtration at the vent.
Directing airflow
The Dundas Jafine Extend-A-Vent air deflector redirects air from a vent that is blocked by furniture or blowing straight at a seat.
