Dryer lint filter guide: finding your part and keeping it clean ▾
Find the right lint filter
Look for the model number on the label inside the dryer door opening or on the back panel. The lint screen part number is often moulded into the screen frame, and you can also find it in the manual. Matching the part number matters, because lint screens vary in shape and size even within one brand.

Lint screen or housing cover?
This collection also has lint housing covers, filter slides and housing assemblies. If the screen fits loosely or the plastic around it is cracked, you may need the housing part rather than the screen.
Clean it every load
Clean the lint screen before or after every load. Built-up lint reduces airflow, makes drying take longer and is a fire risk. Replace the screen if the mesh is torn, since lint can then pass into the vent.
