Find the right part
LG uses different lint filters across dryer models, so match the part number rather than the look. The number is in your owner's manual or parts list, and is often moulded on the filter frame. Covers and housings (3550EL1006B, MCK49049101) are sold separately from the screens.
When to replace
Clean the lint screen before or after every load. Replace it if the mesh is torn, the frame is cracked, or it no longer seats properly, since lint that gets past the screen can build up in the dryer and vent.
