Choosing a capacity
The model number shows the rated capacity in pints: E070, E080, E100 and E130. Larger, damper or leakier spaces such as big basements need a higher capacity. Check Aprilaire's sizing information for your square footage and conditions.
Standard or Wi-Fi
Models ending in W (E070W, E080W, E100W, E130W) add Wi-Fi, which generally lets you check and adjust settings from a phone app. Each Wi-Fi model carries the same pint rating as its standard model, so pick the capacity first and then decide on Wi-Fi.
Installation and filters
Follow Aprilaire's installation instructions. If the unit is being ducted into your HVAC system or needs a new drain or electrical connection, use a licensed HVAC technician. Check and replace the dehumidifier's filter as the manual directs.
