Evolution Air Platinum ES electrostatic air filters, all rated MERV 8, in 1" and 2" thicknesses. Choose a standard size such as 16x25x2, 20x25x2 or 24x24x1, or a custom size ordered by face area in square inches, from up to 99 sq. in. to 899 sq. in.

Evolution Air filter guide: standard and custom sizes ▾
Standard sizes
2" pleated filters come in 12x24, 16x20, 16x24, 16x25, 20x20, 20x24, 20x25 and 24x24. 1" filters come in 12x24, 16x24 and 24x24. Read the size on the frame of your current filter. Sizes are nominal, so the actual filter is slightly smaller; one listing notes a 1" filter is 15/16" actual.
Ordering a custom size
If your size is not listed, measure the length and width of your current filter in inches and multiply them to get the face area. For example, 14 x 30 is 420 sq. in., which falls in the 400 to 499 sq. in. listing. Then pick 1" or 2" thick to match your filter slot, and check the product page for how to give your exact dimensions. See custom size furnace filters for more help.
What MERV 8 does
MERV 8 is a common grade for homes. It captures household dust, lint and pollen while keeping good airflow for most furnaces.
