What size is the Fantech 414923 filter?
Fantech lists each 414923 filter at 8.4 x 12.4 inches, about 8-3/8 x 12-3/8, and the kit contains two cleanable synthetic MERV 8 filters. They trap airborne particles such as mould spores, pollen, cement dust, carpet fibres, lint and insects.
What is the difference between the Fantech 414923 and 414645 filters?
The Fantech 414923 and 414645 fit the same FLEX 100H and VHR100R and share the same 8-3/8 x 12-3/8 inch size, but the 414923 is MERV 8 and the 414645 is a washable MERV 6 filter. Fantech says to replace the MERV 8 kit every 3 months, while the MERV 6 kit is vacuumed every 3 months and replaced about every 5 years.
How often should I replace the Fantech 414923 filters?
Fantech says to vacuum the 414923 filters regularly and replace them every 3 months with normal use, but in most homes we recommend replacing them every 3 to 4 months, and sooner with pets, renovation dust or heavy heating and cooling use.
