What does the Lennox X0445 fit?
The Lennox X0445 is the replacement media for the Lennox Healthy Climate PMAC-20C media air cleaner. Lennox's PMAC manual says to use only X0445 media in the PMAC-20C and X0444 media in the smaller PMAC-12C. Lennox describes the X0445 as 25 x 20 x 6 inch expandable air filter media, so check that your cabinet label reads PMAC-20C.
What MERV rating is the Lennox X0445?
Lennox currently lists the X0445 PMAC-20C media as MERV 11. Older Lennox Healthy Climate literature described its collapsible media air cleaner as MERV 10, so you may also see the X0445 listed as MERV 10. For finer filtration in the same PMAC-20C cabinet, Lennox also makes the MERV 16 X5424 media.
How often should I replace the Lennox X0445?
Lennox recommends replacing the X0445 media in the PMAC-20C each year, and more often in high-dust environments, but in most homes we recommend replacing it every 3 to 4 months, and sooner with pets, renovation dust or heavy heating and cooling use.
How do I install the Lennox X0445 media?
Lennox prints the installation steps for the X0445 on the media carton itself, and its PMAC manual says to note the airflow direction arrows on the PMAC-20C's inner assembly and outer housing so the media goes in facing the right way. The PMAC-20C cabinet itself must be installed by an HVAC contractor, according to Lennox.
