Lennox X6670 FAQs
Is the Lennox X6670 the same as the Healthy Climate HCF16-11?
Yes. Lennox X6670 is the part number for the Healthy Climate HCF16-11, a 16 x 25 x 5 MERV 11 media filter for the Lennox HCC16-28 Healthy Climate cabinet. In the name, "HCF16" refers to the 16-inch cabinet and "11" is the MERV rating. This listing is the genuine Lennox filter.
What are the actual dimensions of the Lennox X6670?
The Lennox X6670 is sold as 16 x 25 x 5, but Lennox lists its actual size as 15-3/4 x 24-3/4 x 4-3/8 inches. Like most 5-inch media filters, it is less than 5 inches deep, so match the part number on your old filter or your HCC16-28 cabinet rather than a tape-measure reading.
What is the difference between the Lennox X6670 and X6672?
The Lennox X6670 and X6672 both fit the HCC16-28 Healthy Climate cabinet at 16 x 25 x 5, but the X6670 is MERV 11 and the X6672 is a MERV 16 Carbon Clean filter with activated carbon for odours. In Lennox's test data, MERV 16 media captures 95% of 0.3 to 1 micron particles, versus 28% for MERV 11.
How often should I replace the Lennox X6670?
Lennox rates its Healthy Climate media filters, including the X6670, for up to 12 months, but in most homes we recommend replacing it every 3 to 4 months, and sooner with pets, renovation dust or heavy heating and cooling use. Lennox also notes that household size and lifestyle can shorten a filter's life.
