Imperial vent cover guide: type and size ▾
Which Imperial grille do you need?
Sidewall grilles and projection grilles cover supply ducts in walls and blow conditioned air into the room. Return air baseboard grilles and return air floor grilles cover the larger openings that pull air back to the furnace or air handler. The RG1278-A louvered toe space grille fits the kick space under kitchen cabinets.
How to measure
Grille sizes refer to the duct opening in the wall or floor, not the outside of the faceplate. Remove the old cover and measure the opening width, then height. A 16" x 8" grille fits a 16" x 8" opening.
Sidewall grille with filter rack
The Imperial 10" x 6" sidewall grille has a built-in filter rack. Its replacement filter is listed separately in the same size.
