LG microwave filter guide: grease vs charcoal ▾
Grease or charcoal?
The aluminum grease filters sit under the microwave and trap grease from cooking. Charcoal filters are used when the microwave recirculates air back into the kitchen instead of venting outside, and they help reduce cooking odours. Many over-the-range models use both.
