Pool Pumps
Pool pumps from Hayward (Super Pump, TriStar, MaxFlo VS), Carvin (Magnum Force, Sharkwave), Pentair (IntelliFlo3, SuperMax, OptiFlo), Jandy and Moov, in single-speed and variable-speed models. Start with your current pump's model, horsepower and voltage; the right size depends on your pool, plumbing and filter.
Our most popular brands are Hayward pool pumps, Carvin pool pumps and Pentair pool pumps. For motors, lids and seals, see pool pump accessories.
Pool pump guide: matching, speed and voltage ▾
Match your existing pump
The easiest replacement is the same model, or one with the same horsepower, voltage and port size. Read the label on your current pump motor. Pump sizing depends on your pool volume, plumbing and filter, so a bigger pump is not automatically better; if you are changing size or are unsure, ask a pool professional.
Single-speed or variable-speed
Single-speed pumps, such as the Carvin Magnum Force 1 Speed, run at one fixed speed. Variable-speed models, such as the Hayward TriStar VS, Super Pump VS and Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF, let you set lower speeds for everyday filtering and higher speeds when needed. Running at lower speed generally uses less electricity.
Voltage and horsepower
- Most residential pumps here are 115/230V; check the voltage your circuit supplies.
- 575V and three-phase pumps (several Carvin Magnum Force and Pentair EQ models) are for commercial or special installations.
- Horsepower ranges from 0.5 HP to large commercial units; match the rating of your current pump unless a professional recommends otherwise.
Have pump wiring and bonding done by a licensed electrician.
