PureFilters house-brand 2-inch pleated furnace filters in MERV 8, MERV 11 and MERV 13. Common sizes such as 16x20x2, 16x25x2, 20x20x2 and 20x25x2 come in 3-packs, and less common sizes such as 14x18x2 and 21x22x2 come as 12-pack custom sizes. Order by the size printed on your current filter.

Finding your size
Read the nominal size on the frame of your current filter, such as 16x25x2. The actual size is usually a little smaller than the nominal size, which is normal. Our furnace filter size guide explains how to measure if the label is gone.
MERV 8, 11 or 13
MERV 8 captures common dust and lint, MERV 11 adds finer particles such as pet dander, and MERV 13 captures finer particles again. Higher ratings can restrict airflow on some systems, so check your furnace manual or ask an HVAC technician before moving up. Most sizes here come in all three ratings; 30x36x2 comes in MERV 8 and MERV 11.
3-packs, 12-packs and changing schedule
Popular sizes are sold as 3-packs; custom sizes are sold as 12-packs. Check a 2-inch filter monthly and replace it about every 2 to 3 months, more often with pets or during renovations. See how often to change your furnace filter.
