Choosing a Reversomatic bathroom fan ▾
How much airflow?
A common rule of thumb for bathrooms up to about 100 sq. ft. is at least 1 CFM per square foot of floor area, with a 50 CFM minimum. Larger bathrooms, or rooms with a separate shower or tub enclosure, need more. Long or bent duct runs reduce airflow, so size up if your run is long.
Replacing a fan or motor
If the housing is still in good shape, a matching motor and blower assembly, such as the EB100 MBG ASSY for the EB-100, may be all you need. Otherwise, compare the duct connection and housing size of the new fan with the old one.
Installation
Bathroom fans are wired to household power and must vent outdoors, not into the attic. Have a licensed electrician do the wiring, and follow Reversomatic's instructions.
