Filter set or single filter
Riccar filter sets (part numbers starting RF) bundle the filters one model needs, usually a HEPA exhaust filter with a charcoal, electrostatic or motor filter. Single filters (RB, RC and RN part numbers) replace one part, such as an intake filter or a secondary charcoal filter. Your model number is on the label of the vacuum.

Washable or not
Some titles say a filter is not washable (RFS, RFR), while the RF60 set includes washable foam filters. Only wash a filter that is marked washable. Rinse it in cold water without detergent and let it dry completely, usually at least 24 hours, before refitting it; a damp filter can damage the motor or grow mould. Replace other filters when they look clogged or suction drops.
