If you only know the size
Some Super-Pro cartridges are listed by diameter and filter area, for example 4-3/4" and 27-1/2 sq ft, 7-1/8" and 40 sq ft, or 10" and 150 sq ft. Measure the outside diameter and length of your old cartridge and check its square footage before you order.
Cleaning and replacing
Clean a cartridge when the filter pressure rises about 8 to 10 psi above its clean reading: turn off the pump, remove the element and hose it off from top to bottom. Replace it when it no longer cleans up, or when the pleats are torn or flattened or an end cap is cracked.
