How to find the right cartridge
Look for the Unicel number on the old cartridge's label or end cap: most start with C- (such as C-8425), and some with a CH code (such as 6CH-25 or 4CH-950). Otherwise, match the filter brand and model in the product title, then compare the square footage, length and end type with your old cartridge.

Cleaning and replacing
Clean a cartridge when the filter pressure rises about 8 to 10 psi above its clean reading: turn off the pump, remove the element and hose it off from top to bottom. Replace it when it no longer cleans up, or when the pleats are torn or flattened or an end cap is cracked.
