Single-room or whole-home
Micra 60, 100 and 150 units ventilate a single room without ductwork, mounted through an exterior wall, which suits condos, additions and rooms the main system does not reach. RA1 and RW1 models are also energy recovery ventilators; check each listing for mounting details. Frigate and Brig units are ducted to serve a whole home, and AirLite models (350 to 680 CFM) are for light commercial spaces.
Reading Frigate model names
Frigate units are listed by size (80, 120 or 150). EC models use an EC motor, CF models offer constant airflow, and R models or those marked "with Recirculation Defrost" use recirculation defrost. ERV versions also transfer some moisture between the air streams; HRVs transfer heat.
Sizing and installation
Match the unit's airflow to the area and your local ventilation requirements. Through-wall units need an opening in an exterior wall, and ducted units should be installed and balanced by a licensed HVAC technician.
