Water Sentinel filter guide: finding your number ▾
Which number to search
Look at the label on the filter you are replacing, or in your fridge manual. If it is a Water Sentinel filter, search its WS number, such as WSG-4, WSW-4, WSF-4, WSQ-1 or WSS-2. If it is the fridge maker's filter, search that part number, such as WR02X11287, WR17S12 or WR2M3552. Numbers that differ only by the last digit, like WSL-1, WSL-2 and WSL-3, are different filters.
How often to replace it
As a general guideline, replace a refrigerator water filter about every 6 months, or sooner if water flow slows, ice or water starts to taste off, or the fridge's filter light comes on. After installing it, run and discard some water as the instructions describe, then reset the filter indicator.
