Weatherstripping from Climaloc, DraftSeal and MD to stop drafts around doors, windows and garage doors: foam, EPDM and sponge rubber tape, door jamb sets, door sweeps and shoes, thresholds, backer rod and garage door seals. Measure the gap and the length of the opening before you choose.

Our most popular brands are DraftSeal weatherstripping and Climaloc weatherstripping.

Weatherstripping guide: which seal goes where ▾

Match the product to the gap

Foam and sponge rubber tape suit window sashes and door stops where the gap is even. Choose a thickness slightly larger than the gap so the seal compresses when the door or window closes; Climaloc tape runs from 1/8" to 1/2" thick. EPDM rubber foam tape is a firmer option for areas that open and close often. Backer rod (3/8", 1/2" and 5/8") fills deeper joints before caulking.

Doors: jambs, sweeps and thresholds

For the sides and top of an exterior door, a door jamb set replaces the full perimeter seal; we carry aluminum, PVC, magnetic and foam-on-aluminum styles in white, brown and silver. Seal the bottom with a door sweep or a U-shape door shoe (36" models), and replace a worn threshold insert, such as the DraftSeal 36" vinyl insert, when it no longer touches the door.

Garage doors

Garage door side seals and heavy-duty bottom seals, like the MD 16' seal, cut drafts and keep out debris along the edges and floor.

Before you install

Clean and dry the surface first so adhesive tape bonds well, and measure the full length of each side so you buy enough.
