How To Replace The Whirlpool 4378411RB Water Filter:

1. Turn off the water supply to the filter. Be prepared to catch the remaining water from inside the filter when you disconnect the filter from the water supply.
2. While holding the plastic fitting against the filter body, pull the water line straight out. The plastic fitting should remain on the filter. Repeat this procedure for the other end of the filter.
3. A new mounting kit is included with each replacement filter. Cut the mounting straps to release the existing filter.
4. Remove plastic plus from both ends of the new filter. Do not remove the plastic fitting.
5. Insert the incoming water supply line into the inlet port of the new filter through the plastic fitting. The water supple line should go inside the filter 5/8". The inlet port can be identified by the flow directional arrows on the side of the filter. The filter must be installed with the correct flow.
6. Turn on the incoming water supply to flush out the filter. This will remove any fine activated carbon which may be present in the filer body. When the water is clear, stop the flush procedure.
7. Connect the outlet port of the filter to the water line going to your equipment. Follow the same procedure used in step 5.
8. Turn back on the water supply.
9. Peel adhesive backing from mounting pads and firmly apply to a clean surface. Mount these pads in a direction that most readily accommodates your tubing.
10. Pass straps through the eyelets of the mounting pads with the toothed surface of the straps facing yourself.
11. Position the filter over the mounting pads, loop straps around fittings in filter body, and fasten straps securely. Straps cannot be unfastened once closed- make certain filter is correctly mounted before fastening.

For best performance and to ensure clean and safe drinking water, it is highly recommended to change your filter every 6 months.
