Desert Spring DS00046-000 FAQs
Should I choose the Desert Spring DS00046-000 plug-in or the HEC020 hardwire transformer?
The Desert Spring DS00046-000 plugs into a standard 110 V outlet and steps it down to 24 V, while the HEC020 is a 115/24 V transformer wired into the circuit, which an electrician should do. Desert Spring warns against connecting a hardwired transformer to multi-speed blower motors or motors that are not 110 VAC; that warning does not apply to plug-in transformers.
Which humidifiers does the Desert Spring DS00046-000 transformer fit?
The Desert Spring DS00046-000 plug-in transformer fits Desert Spring DS-CFT and DS-PFT, Evolution Air Pro 3000, Lifebreath Flow-Thru, Thermolec M500, M550 and Pro 600, and Trion CM200 humidifiers, according to our supplier's fit list. It converts 110 V household power to the 24 V these humidifiers' controls run on.
