Trion CFS22 267460-004 FAQs
What is the difference between the Trion CFS22 and CFS20?
The Trion CFS22 (267460-004) runs on 230V and produces up to 23 gallons (8 lb per hour) of steam per day, while the CFS20 (267460-003) runs on 115V and produces half that, 11.5 gallons (4 lb per hour). Both draw 11.5 amps, share the same 18 x 11 x 9 inch cabinet, and ship as complete systems with humidistat, air proving switch, steam hose and distributor tube.
What replacement canister does the Trion CFS22 267460-004 use?
The Trion CFS22 (267460-004) uses the 230V replacement steam cylinder 268614-001, per Trion's parts list. Trion says cylinder life is typically 500 to 2,000 operating hours depending on your water supply, and its product page calls for replacing the canister once a year. The 115V CFS20 uses cylinder 268613-001 instead.
What electrical and water supply does the Trion CFS22 267460-004 need?
The Trion CFS22 (267460-004) needs 230V power on a circuit of at least 15 amps with a fused disconnect, since it draws 11.5 amps (2.66 kW). It must be fed cold potable water at 20 to 100 psi, never hot water, and drained through a line of at least 1-inch inside diameter. Have a licensed electrician and HVAC technician install it.
