Lennox X6673 FAQs
Is the Lennox X6673 the same as the Healthy Climate HCF20-11?
Yes. Lennox X6673 is the part number for the Healthy Climate HCF20-11, a 20 x 25 x 5 MERV 11 media filter for the Lennox HCC20-28 Healthy Climate cabinet, rated for 2,000 CFM. Lennox also makes the same grade in an expandable format, the X8304 frame and media kit with X8310 media refills.
What is the difference between the Lennox X6673 and X6675?
The Lennox X6673 and X6675 both fit the HCC20-28 Healthy Climate cabinet at 20 x 25 x 5, but the X6673 (HCF20-11) is MERV 11 and the X6675 (HCF20-16) is a MERV 16 Carbon Clean filter with activated carbon for odours. In Lennox's test data, MERV 16 media captures 95% of 0.3 to 1 micron particles, versus 28% for MERV 11.
Is the Lennox X6673 a genuine Lennox filter?
Yes. The Lennox X6673 sold by PureFilters is the genuine Lennox Healthy Climate HCF20-11 (OEM), made by Lennox rather than a third-party replacement. It is the part Lennox specifies for the HCC20-28 Healthy Climate cabinet, with MERV 11 media rated for 2,000 CFM.
What are the actual dimensions of the Lennox X6673?
The Lennox X6673 is sold as 20 x 25 x 5, but Lennox's Healthy Climate specifications list its actual size as 19-3/4 x 24-3/4 x 4-3/8 inches. Like most 5-inch media filters it is less than 5 inches deep, so match the part number on your old filter or your HCC20-28 cabinet rather than a tape-measure reading.
How often should I replace the Lennox X6673?
Lennox rates its Healthy Climate media filters, including the X6673, for up to 12 months, but in most homes we recommend replacing it every 3 to 4 months, and sooner with pets, renovation dust or heavy heating and cooling use. Lennox notes that the number of occupants, pets and home size all affect how often it needs changing.
