Lennox Y6604 FAQs
Which Lennox air purifier does the Y6604 filter fit?
The Lennox Y6604 is the Healthy Climate Carbon Clean 16 filter for the 20-inch Lennox PureAir S air purifier, the PCO3-20-16, including the current PCO3S-20-16-02. The 14- and 16-inch PureAir S models take the Y6606 and Y6605 instead. Lennox lists the Y6604 as a 20 x 26 x 5 MERV 16 pleated carbon filter rated at 2,000 CFM.
Is the Lennox Y6604 included in the Y6608 maintenance kit?
Yes. The Lennox Y6604 is the filter in Lennox's Y6608 annual maintenance kit for the 20-inch PureAir S, which also contains one PCO cartridge and one UVA lamp. Buy the Y6604 alone when only the filter is due, or the Y6608 kit for the full yearly service, since Lennox says all three parts need annual replacement.
How often should I replace the Lennox Y6604?
Lennox says the Y6604 filter in the PureAir S requires annual replacement, but in most homes we recommend replacing it every 3 to 4 months, and sooner with pets, renovation dust or heavy heating and cooling use. Lennox also advises an earlier change when dust or dirt loads are heavy or the system's odour removal drops off.
How do I reset the filter reminder after replacing the Lennox Y6604?
After installing a new Lennox Y6604 in a PureAir S, press and hold the SW2 button for three seconds to reset the filter reminder, according to Lennox's installation instructions. Lennox says to disconnect power and remove the access panel before swapping the filter. The UVA lamp reminder is reset separately, by holding SW1 for three seconds.
