Trion CFS20 267460-003 FAQs
What is the difference between the Trion CFS20 and CFS22?
The Trion CFS20 (267460-003) runs on 115V and produces up to 11.5 gallons (4 lb per hour) of steam per day, while the CFS22 (267460-004) runs on 230V and doubles that to 23 gallons (8 lb per hour). Both draw 11.5 amps, share the same 18 x 11 x 9 inch cabinet, and ship as complete systems with humidistat, air proving switch, steam hose and distributor tube.
What replacement canister does the Trion CFS20 267460-003 use?
The Trion CFS20 (267460-003) uses the 115V replacement steam cylinder 268613-001. Trion says cylinder life is typically 500 to 2,000 operating hours depending on your water supply, and its product page calls for replacing the canister once a year. The 230V CFS22 uses a different cylinder, 268614-001.
What electrical and water supply does the Trion CFS20 267460-003 need?
The Trion CFS20 (267460-003) needs 115V power on a circuit of at least 15 amps with a fused disconnect, since it draws 11.5 amps (1.33 kW). It must be fed cold potable water at 20 to 100 psi, never hot water, and drained through a line of at least 1-inch inside diameter. Have a licensed electrician and HVAC technician install it.
