Swift Green fridge filter guide: finding your SGF number ▾
Two ways to find the right filter
If your current filter is a Swift Green, the SGF number is on its label: search it here. If it is the fridge maker's filter, search the original model number instead. Most Swift Green fridge filters are also listed under the appliance brand with that number and the word Compatible, for example Samsung DA29-00020B Compatible Refrigerator Water Filter. Some SGF numbers contain a familiar filter number, such as SGF-MSWF, SGF-GSWF, SGF-MXRC and SGF-LT1000P; check the fit on the product page before ordering.
Match the number in full
Similar numbers are different filters. SGF-W10 and SGF-W01, or SGF-WFCB and SGF-WF1CB, are listed separately, and Rx versions such as SGF-XWF Rx and SGF-HAFQIN Rx have their own listings.
How often to replace it
As a general guideline, replace a refrigerator water filter about every 6 months, or sooner if water flow slows, ice or water starts to taste off, or the fridge's filter light comes on. After installing it, run and discard some water as the instructions describe, then reset the filter indicator.
